Despite WordPress’s out-of-the-box support for responsive images, this blog doesn’t actually use ’em, yet. There’s pretty much two reasons for that: (1) I have yet to implement them on my custom front end, and (2) nearly all of my (full-size) images are optimized for file size—thru TinyPNG, usually—and almost always turn out _smaller_ than WordPress’s automatically generated, _lower-resolution_ thumbnails.

In toots like the one above, Mastodon sees en dashes while my blog displays em dashes. A mismatch between WordPress and SmartyPants, which can easily be fixed. (I will. Fix.) https://michelf.ca/projects/php-smartypants/configuration/#smartypants
