Using such a package, I could build a dead-simple custom CMS, still use a database to keep track of metadata, and have proper job scheduling and event listeners instead, _and_ generate static HTML the way I would with a more common SSG. (What metadata? If webmentions got sent, things like that. Things that should run once, like when a post is first published.)
