Came across this post, inside my feed reader, I mean, that essentially is a Hypothes.is embed, which without JavaScript is little more than a blockquote—a good thing!—which in this case had an h1 in it. Which is fine, I guess, except I’d rather have just one h1 per page. Which is why it’s unfortunate that the “original” HTML5 document outline was never implemented.

Many content authors don’t even know where their content will appear, making an all-<h1> approach feel like the safe approach.
