Let’s try a bookmark, just for the sake of it.
This one contains a couple bug fixes.
I also refactored some of the plugin’s inner logic.
If you run into problems, hit me up.

Apparently version 1.0 of the WordPress ActivityPub plugin broke my lil’ “add-on plugin,” so I updated that. Also, “deletes” somehow stopped propagating, but that too has already been addressed in a fresh PR! Installed it locally and everything works as before.
I’ll write about these tweaks, and why I think they have value, later on. And then I may finally enable “native” ActivityPub support for this blog, too.
Thought I’d posted about my Raspberry Pi’s failing external HDD (a 13-year-old, I think, 1 TB WD MyBook) before, but I can’t seem to find it back.
Either way, ordered a replacement (a whopping 6 TB WD Elements, which is kind of the same thing sans bloatware). Or rather, the new one will replace a 3rd, only slightly less new drive, which itself will then be downgraded to “network storage,” i.e., hold my music library.
Storage sure got affordable.
Used to be able to find my own Mastodon posts back real easily. The new, “global” search just shows me, well, other people.
I see there’s a bunch of filters; can’t I filter out just my own statuses?
How do y’all revisit old posts to add to them whenever you come across something of relevance? (Whaddya mean, you don’t?)
Don’t take my word for it—I’m a bit of a music nitwit—but Dag Nasty’s Minority of One (2002) really reminds me of Pennywise.
Yes, I’ll fix the dumb genre lookup, it’s … not very good.

It’s pretty crazy to think back to a time when austerity was such a popular policy.
